The exhibition YAYOI KUSAMA. INFINITE PRESENT is one of the major event in the context of Bergamo Brescia Capitale Italiana della Cultura, taking place from 17 November 2023 to 21 April 2024 in the marvellous Palazzo della Ragione, Piazza Vecchia, Bergamo.

The exhibition is a unique opportunity to discover the world’s most popular and beloved artist and her incredible personal story through one of her most iconic works, Fireflies on the Water, from the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.

For this great event, the educational services of the cultural association The Blank, propose to schools of all levels, a selection of art education workshops that will take place during the exhibition, into Sala delle Capriate of Palazzo della Ragione.

The workshops have been designed with the mirror as leitmotif, declined in diversified activities for different age groups. Each lab is followed by links and reference texts for approaching Yayoi Kusama’s work.

At the end of each activity the works can be taken away by the pupils.

HOW TO VISIT THE EXHIBITION AND THE LABS

There are two ways for schools to visit the exhibition:

– Visit to the exhibition only, with the possibility of interaction with a mediator present in the room (approximate duration of the visit for a class 30 min).

– Exhibition with workshop, interaction with a mediator and the educational operator for the practical workshop activity (duration 1 hour, of which 30 min. visit to the exhibition and 30 min. workshop).

Only one class will have access to the exhibition at a time, every half hour.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Due to the big popularity of the artist and the way the work can be visited, admissions will be for 30 people every 30 minutes, so we recommend to book in advance.
