THOMAS BRAIDA, UNTITLED, 2014, MIXED MEDIA ON PAPER, CM 27 X 21 (part.)
Everything can become a medium for any type of message without any criterion, you find advertising everywhere even in the dreams. We are in a saturated world, and in this chaos, the medium-the media has lost his value as a message (McLuhan).
Fortunately, we have learned to extricate ourselves (pfff… lies) through mobile phones, tablet, TV, cinema, 3D, sex and booze.
What we thread on, I mean what we paint on a canvas, I think it has a new value almost didactic.
We return from the biblical stories on the glass walls or on the ceilings of churches, up to a cave full of wild animals painted by hands.
